The Vaporesso XROS Pro shares a lot of features with the rest of the XROS series: a sturdy, premium build, clamshell top-fill pods with built-in mesh coils, and the excellent flavour production that Vaporesso vape kits are known for.But the XROS Pro takes the series to new heights with adjustable wattage and power modes on the series’ first-ever screen, offering more versatility and customisation.Our friends at Vaporesso were kind enough to send us a couple of kits to try, and we were blown away.Let’s take a closer look at the Vaporesso XROS Pro!.
XROS Pro
The XROS Pro also comes included with two of the new 0.4Ω (ohm) pods, which have been created exclusively for this higher-powered device. Other XROS vapes don’t output enough wattage to be compatible.These pods offer more flavour and vapour per puff, fired at a higher wattage than other XROS pods are.I was so excited to get to try this vape. I could go on and on—so, without further ado, let’s dive in!
Design & Appearance
I received the green finish, which has a dark, forest green colour that eerily matches the colour of my first car: a 2006 Chevy Uplander.The vape is a little odd looking. It looks a bit pregnant from the front. If you lay it on its back, it looks like a train or something. Overall, though, I’m a big fan of the design of this vape despite the shape being a little strange.vaporesso xros 3 nano
XROS Pro design
It’s incredibly sturdy and feels very solid and durable in the hand, though when I’ve dropped it on my hardwood floor at home, the pod usually pops open and scatters across the floor. It feels incredibly durable, though the pod sits pretty precariously and can pop out easily if you’re not careful.
The flipside
The flipside to this is that you can see the whole pod at all times and that your E-Liquid level is always perfectly visible, which is great.On the front of the device, you’ll find the Vaporesso logo above the sturdy button. The button has a nice feel to it as well. Below the button, you’ll find the lock icon, the screen, and the LED indicator light. These 3 elements blend into the front of the vape when you’re not using it, rendering them (almost) invisible.
lock or unlock an interface
On the right side of the XROS Pro, you’ll find a handy slide-lock switch that allows you to lock the interface. It’s the first of its kind, and honestly, I love it. I hate having to press a button 4 times to lock or unlock an interface. If the interface is locked, the button should do nothing, no?This feature is really handy, and the switch itself is very sturdy and doesn’t move on its own. Once you’ve locked the vape, it’s locked, full stop.vaporesso xros 3 nano
Vaporesso icon
On the back of the device, you’ll find the adjustable airflow toggle with the Vaporesso icon etched into the body at the bottom. The bottom of the device houses the USB-C port, which is where you’ll charge the device, along with the battery information.Overall, while the shape is a bit odd, the XROS Pro is really sturdy and has a nice, premium heft to it in the hand. It’s quite a fingerprint magnet, though I know only some people tend to care about this, so it’s a very minor con.In addition, the XROS Pro is quite heavy at 86g, but I quite like the feel of it in my hands. Some people might consider this a con.
Interface & Features
The XROS Pro features a nifty little screen for adjusting wattage and keeping an eye on your battery level and puff count—the first-ever screen on a Vaporesso XROS vape.The vape can be fired either using the button or via inhale activation, which allows you to vape by simply inhaling on the mouthpiece.The interface offers another unique feature: a slide-lock switch allowing you to lock the button completely. With the interface locked, you can still vape via inhale activation, but you don’t have to worry about the vape accidentally firing in your pocket or handbag.
Adjustable Airflow
The adjustable airflow toggle on the back of the device is really nice. It’s one of my favourite airflow configurations that I’ve used. The switch itself is very sturdy and doesn’t really budge once you’ve set it, which is great.The toggle itself has two holes: one wider hole at the far end, and a slightly narrower hole in the middle. You can slide the toggle to allow airflow in via both holes for RDTL vaping, or just the smaller holes, which gives a nice, balanced MTL draw.You can also use one and a half holes, or just half of the smaller hole—making it highly adjustable with 2 main airflow options. I absolutely love this.

XROS Pro Screen
The XROS Pro has a handy little menu screen that helps keep you apprised of your current wattage, battery level, and your puff count, which can be cleared by pressing the button 4 times when the button is unlocked. You’ll have to press the button again to navigate to “yes,” then wait for it to clear the puff counter.You can adjust the wattage or power mode by pressing the button 3 times with the button unlocked (more on this next).You can also power the device on or off by pressing the button 5 times quickly and turn the light on or off by pressing the button twice.vaporesso xros 3 nano
use the XROS Pro
Overall, the menu may be a bit fiddy and difficult to navigate for some users, though to be honest, I haven’t really touched the wattage or settings since I first started using the vape. The wattage it’s automatically set to with the 0.4Ω pod is perfect.You can very easily use the XROS Pro without ever even touching the menu settings, making it both user-friendly and customisable.vaporesso xros 3 nano
Adjustable Wattage & Power Modes
When using one of the included 0.4Ω pods, you can adjust the wattage by pressing the button 3 times with the button unlocked, which will then allow you to increase the wattage in 0.5W increments. It will “round robin” at 30W and start back at 15W.With any other pod resistance, the vape will allow you to swap between power modes, including “power” for bigger clouds, “normal” for standard output, and “eco” for a lower-wattage puff that will help conserve battery life.vaporesso xros 3 nano
